LANCASTER — One person has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in the 1000 block of Rainbow Drive that sent two men to the hospital.

On Wednesday, officials arrested 19-year-old Ryan P. Kelly in Raymond, Ohio, his city of residence. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and one count tampering with evidence.

Kelly was booked into the Fairfield County Jail Thursday and arraigned in Fairfield County Municipal Court today. He is being held in jail on a $100,000 bond, as of this afternoon.

The stabbing incident occurred at a party between 2:30 and 3 a.m. June 23. A warrant was then issued for Kelly’s arrest.

Carroll resident Shane Stroup, 20, was taken to Fairfield Medical Center, where he was treated for stab wounds to his back, shoulder, side and arm. He was released that day.

Joshua Jenkins, 20, of Lancaster, was first taken to FMC, then taken by MedFlight to Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, where he was listed in critical condition at the time the sheriff's report was taken.

Jenkins was treated for stab wounds to his side, back, stomach and rib cage and released that day.

The case still is under investigation, Sheriff’s Office officials said.
